Full-time/Part-time Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503492) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, psychology, social sciences or related disciplines. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), excellent telephone manners, good interpersonal and organisation skills, and the ability to work independently and responsibly. Experience and a keen interest in clinical research and project coordination are preferred. Certifications in first aid, electrocardiogram, and/or phlebotomy would be an advantage. Those with more experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

The appointees will work on a community-based research project as part of the ‘Healthy Human Global Project’ and the FAMILY Cohort, a large population-based cohort with over 46,000 participants in 20,000 households. They will assist in fieldworks, recruit participants, conduct health questionnaires, collect data, handle biological specimens of community-based, ambulatory and well volunteers, and perform other research duties as assigned.
