Nurse (holding the functional title of Research Nurse) (several posts) in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 503493) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related discipline, and be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). They should be organized, responsible, team-oriented, patient, and skilled in phlebotomy. Experience in research and fieldwork would be an advantage.

The appointees will work on a community-based research project as part of the ‘Healthy Human Global Project’ and the FAMILY Cohort overseeing the operation of the study site. He/She will assist in formulating the standard operating procedures; collect clinical specimens including blood, nasopharyngeal swabbing and stool of community-based, ambulatory and well volunteers; perform basic clinical examinations including electrocardiogram; administer medical questionnaires; provide support to the clinicians during physical examinations; and supervise and train junior research staff members.
