Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Social Justice & Health Equity Postdoctoral Diversity Training Program within the School of Public Health. Under the direction of the Department Chair the Post-Doc Fellow will participate in the culture of the school and partake in educational programs that will further develop their scholarship, including grant writing, providing opportunities for and guidance with teaching, and professional development to undertake community-engaged research.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Actively conducts research with primary mentor and department members.
  • Advances the School’s commitment to health justice and social equity through research, teaching, and community engagement directed by the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Prepares peer-reviewed research publications and scientific grant writing.
  • Teaches two School of Public Health courses per academic year.
  • Presents scientific/research contents in institutional, national and international forums.
  • Contributes to writing of IRB applications and grants to respective agencies.
  • May be required to travel between SPH locations of Newark and Piscataway.
Additional Details:

Skills/Eligibility:
  • Ph.D. Degree in Public Health, Biomedical Sciences, Social Sciences or a related health field.
