Administrative Coordinator

Are you passionate about healthy food, sustainable agriculture, and addressing climate change?  Are you an systematic, detail-oriented problem solver?  Do you like order and organization?  Then this job may be just what you are looking for!  Tilth Alliance is seeking an Administrative Coordinator, a key member of the finance and administration team that is responsible for maintaining a strong foundation for the organization and its work.   The Administrative Coordinator supports office operations, assists with the Human Resources function, and provides administrative support to the Executive Director and Finance Manager.

Job responsibilities include: 

  • Ensuring the business center, common areas, kitchen and workstations are well maintained, organized and orderly
  • Providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Finance Manager
  • Maintaining office equipment (copiers, postage machine, phones)
  • Overseeing office service vendors – cleaning company, printer leases, etc.
  • Maintaining organization files and records
  • Ordering and maintaining the inventory office supplies
  • Opening and distributing daily mail
  • Supporting organizational events as arranged in advance
  • Managing Employee benefits
  • Creating and maintaining employee HR files
  • Entering Timesheets for Payroll
  • Providing basic in-office technical support

This is a full time (40 hours/week) exempt position that requires occasional evening and weekend work. It is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, employee-funded Flexible Spending Account, 401k, paid vacation, sick and holiday time. This position will be based at the main office in Wallingford.

Compensation:  $40,000 - $45,000 DOE
