AmeriCorps Nutrition Education Specialist - Chicken Soup Brigade, Lifelong
Description:
The WSC member will serve in the Chicken Soup Brigade Pots & Plans program, a community based nutrition education series. They will support in preparing ingredients and materials needed for each class in the series. They will grocery shop for ingredients, pack student grocery bags, and distribute the bag to community partners. The WSC member will work alongside the Community Nutritionist to assist in tailoring each series to student needs as well as support in teaching weekly classes in the series. The WSC member will get hands-on experience running a public health nutrition program, as well as experience working with marginalized communities.

Number of Students Accepted: 1
Compensation: AmeriCorps Stipend
Special scheduling: Full time (8 hour/day) but can be flexible with student class schedule.
