Description:

Reporting to the IIS Data Quality and Enrollment Supervisor, this full-time, project Health Services Consultant 3 (HSC3) position provides senior-level consultation to ensure that Immunization Information System (IIS) data accurately reflects the immunization event recorded by the user. 

As a Data Quality Specialist, you will: 

  • Conduct program planning, implementation, and evaluation of statewide IIS data quality activities that support enhanced influenza and COVID-19 system business needs.
  • Work in person and on-line with healthcare providers, local health departments, other system users, and the system vendor to identify & resolve system issues and improve data submission processes. 
  • Develop and document business rules, processes, and procedures that impact system data quality and provider enrollment. 

Immunizations are a cornerstone of public health work to reduce morbidity and mortality from vaccine preventable disease. The work of this position will improve immunization rates and ensure that patients are appropriately immunized.

 

This is a full-time, project Health Services Consultant 3 position is located within the Division of Prevention & Community Health’s Office of Immunization (OI). This project position is currently funded through June 30, 2024.

The duty station for this position is Tumwater, WA.   Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, telework (mobile-work) is currently expected.  When approved to return, the incumbent is expected to report to the duty station for work activities.  An alternative work schedule may be considered upon request and supervisor approval.   Telework – once returned to the duty station for work activities, may be considered upon request with supervisory approval.
