UW’s Global Health has an outstanding opportunity open for a Temporary, Full-Time (100% FTE) Research Coordinator.

This position is currently funded for nine months, with the opportunity for extension dependent on funding. We seek an individual dedicated to excellence in research programs, committed to public health and invested in social justice, equity and inclusiveness.

This position will sit in the Global Center for the Integrated Health of Women, Adolescents, and Children (Global WACh) based in the University of Washington Departments of Global Health, Obstetrics/Gynecology, and Pediatrics. 

The Research Coordinator will support multiple projects within the Gut Health and Child Survival team. This position plays a key role in the coordination and management of research activities, including regular communication with investigators and project staff based in Seattle and international sites. The Research Coordinator will support the operational activities of the projects, including but not limited to: developing and revising standard operating procedures and database systems, conducting data quality monitoring, generating progress reports, and responding to staff and leadership inquiries regarding study procedures. The Research Coordinator may also be responsible for managing ethical approval submissions to institutional review boards, as well as well as ensure completion of any required reporting to funding institutions. This position requires the ability to compile and synthesize information from the literature and technical discussions to provide input on study design and methods most appropriate for a given project, as well as develop conference abstracts and presentations on study objectives and results.
