The Department of Health Systems and Population Health (HSPop) has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Research Coordinator to provide significant support and coordination for the Health Promotion Research center (HPRC).

HPRC is one of 26 Prevention Research Centers funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). HPRC conducts community-based research that promotes the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults, particularly those with lower incomes and in ethnic/cultural minority populations most at risk of health disparities.

This position will provide project management and research support for our community engaged research and evaluation projects including the evaluation of whether and how in – person evidence-based health promotion programs work when delivered via phone, video conferencing, toolkits, and other remote formats. The Research Coordinator will support research and evaluation activities directly through data collection, analysis, interpretation and dissemination via papers, presentations and program supports, as well as project management through coordination of the internal and external teams, meetings, timelines, and deliverables.

Housed in the UW School of Public Health, HSPop is a dynamic academic and research department with the mission of working with partners in public health and health care to prepare leaders, design solutions, and conduct innovative research that is translated into practice and policy to address health inequities. Over the past decades the Department has conducted research of national and international importance. The Department is steadfast in its efforts to improve and promote the health of all populations, and staff contribute daily and directly to the work of faculty, students, researchers, and other staff, providing support and expertise to the Department’s public health cause.
