Reporting to the Client Services Section (CSS) manager this Health Services Consultant 4 position supervises the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) within the Office of Nutrition Services (ONS).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising, mentoring, and managing staff and work in the WIC Breastfeeding Coordination Unit.
- Serving as the Washington WIC Breastfeeding Promotion Coordinator to provide leadership in WIC breast/chest feeding promotion efforts.
- Managing and coordinating the WIC Breastfeeding Peer Counseling program.
- Participating in ONS Office Leadership Team (OLT), Client Services Management Team (CMT), and other ONS meetings and workgroups.
The duty station for this position is in Tumwater, WA. Telework (mobile-work) is currently expected. When approved, the incumbent is expected to report to the duty station for work activities. An alternative work schedule may be considered upon request and supervisor approval. Telework – once returned to the duty station for work activities, may be considered upon request with supervisory approval. This would need to be a conversation between the hiring supervisor and the incumbent.
