Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation (MCRF) was founded in 1959. It is the largest private medical research institute in Wisconsin with 31 Ph.D. and M.D. scientists and over 155 scientific and technical support staff. In addition, approximately 150 physicians and other healthcare professionals throughout the Marshfield Clinic system are engaged in medical research.
MCRF is the research division of Marshfield Clinic, an integrated multispecialty health care system with over 700 physicians and 50+ regional centers. The MCRF Center for Clinical Epidemiology and Population Health (CCEPH) is seeking a Project Manager to support research activities in both chronic and infectious disease epidemiology. The CCEPH mission is to improve population health and patient care outcomes by leading and promoting consequential epidemiology research. We have the resources and expertise to conduct cutting-edge research, including a combined electronic medical record, medication and immunization registries, and a large group of experienced epidemiologists and scientific support staff. Research at MCRF is funded by a variety of federal agencies and other sources, including CDC, NIH, NIOSH, FDA, and industry.

This position will be responsible for efficiently and effectively executing the directives and objectives of a large weight loss trial/ research study for obese adults in our rural clinics. The Project Manager will be the focal point for communications and dissemination of information to participating Marshfield Clinic regional center clinicians and staff, stakeholders, and study sponsor. The Project Manager position combines administrative and evaluation-related responsibilities such as overseeing data collection procedures, IRB and compliance reports, preparation of presentation material and background documentation, and monitoring program success using appropriate tracking and feedback systems. The Project Manager will work closely with CCEPH administration to manage study resources, budget, and project deliverables. The Project Manager will assist with resolving study related conflicts and team member’s understanding of roles and responsibilities to keep all clinic sites positively engaged throughout the project. The Research Project Manager will also provide support for future research in a variety of areas that may include vaccine safety and effectiveness, cancer or cardiovascular disease care, and other epidemiology projects.
- BS degree in project management, organizational management, business administration, nursing, or other health science field or related field.
- BS or MS degree in health science field preferred.
- Two years of experience in project management or related field.
- Experience working with healthcare professionals is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
