Description:
  • Assist Curator with acquisitions of books and serials
  • Search complex printed and online bibliographic tools (Library Catalog (Primo), Alma, WorldCat, etc) in support of adding materials to Special Collections
  • Prepare inventories using a variety of software, including GoogleDrive, Microsoft Excel or other
  • May research, write, compose, edit and/or revise electronic documents, including business correspondence and web content
  • Re-house materials as necessary
  • Retrieve and re-shelve print material
  • Promote collections on social media
Skills/Eligibility:
  • Interest in library cataloging
  • Competent in MS Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including excellent handwriting
  • Professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and ability to stay self-motivated and complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner
  • Enrollment in a Master’s program
  • Coursework in cataloging
  • Experience working with library, museum, or historical collections
