This position will provide active surveillance capacity to existing Emerging Infections Program (EIP) activities that include surveillance for foodborne organisms, Active Bacterial Core Surveillance infections, Candida blood stream infections, carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae and other emerging infectious disease organisms and syndromes. Frequent travel to hospitals and laboratories statewide for purposes of conducting active infectious disease surveillance is required. The position requires periodic day-call activities as part of infectious disease epidemiologists who respond to calls from healthcare providers and the public as part of the 24/7/365 Epidemiology and Response Division’s on-call system. The position will also provide core surveillance duties in Infectious disease for the Epidemiology Bureau on a regular basis. THIS POSTING WILL BE USED TO CONDUCT ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED. This position is a Pay Band 75.
