Research Study Coordinator 1 - Initiative for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH)

Under general supervision of the Principal Investigator, coordinate operations of research studies involving human subjects, applying knowledge and skills that are specific to the study and that meet the mission and goals of the program. Research studies are coordinated through the Multidisciplinary Approach to the Study of Chronic Pelvic Pain (MAPP). Knowledge of human subjects law, regulation, policy and procedure will be utilized.
Coordinate, schedule and monitor research activities and subject participation. Interpret and apply study protocols, conduct interviews, administer tests and record observations. Coordinate management of study data, monitor data to maintain quality control. Summarize study results, prepare reports.
Required Qualifications: Two years of college level course work in a relevant academic area AND two years of experience as a Research Study Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements: Demonstrated experience developing and using database systems such as Access and REDCap in a research setting. Experience reviewing records and charts and extracting necessary information. Experience recruiting study participants for research studies. Proficient with Microsoft Office suite products. Ability to travel on occasion to study sites.
Preferred Qualifications: Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and competence communicating and working with health professionals, faculty members and researchers, and diverse groups within the general public. Experience working in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) lab. Experience handling biological samples (blood, saliva, urine, etc.)
