The University of Washington’s Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine, is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position to be based at Harborview Medical Center (HMC). This position would have research responsibilities at Harborview Medical Center. This position would work closely with Dr. Paul Crane, MD MPH and investigators from the Adult Changes in Thought (ACT) study and its network of ancillary studies focused on epidemiological investigations impacting older adults in general and neurodegenerative conditions in particular. University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
This position will be at the Research Associate Professor or Research Professor level. Salary and academic appointment at University of Washington will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, and academic rank. Research associate professors and research professors are eligible for multi-year appointments that align with a 12-month service period (July 1-June 30). Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. The anticipated start date would be January 2, 2025.
ACT is one of several landmark studies of older adults, and many initiatives seek to leverage combined resources to address important scientific questions. The person in this position would help represent ACT in these groups, advising harmonization efforts with specific attention to ACT’s particular data resources.
The base salary range for this position will be: $15,000 – $18,334 per month ($180,000 - $220,008 annually), commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination.

Qualifications
Requirements include a Ph.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) in a relevant field. Eligible candidates must have a record of publications that utilize sophisticated epidemiological modeling, as well as at least five years experience in leading groups of individuals.
