We’re excited to announce a new common core curriculum that integrates research and practice skills while preparing students to solve our most complex public health problems! These new common core courses, effective in the fall of 2020 and totaling 23 credits, will expose students to diverse perspectives of public health, rigorous training and exciting field opportunities.
Across the Master of Public Health curriculum, students will focus on ethics and equity issues; global and local perspectives; communication, systems thinking, leadership and collaborative skills; and the evidence-to-action-and-back cycle.
Teams of instructors from different disciplines will use student-centered learning strategies, with compelling case studies and engaging pedagogy. The UW School of Public Health offers degree programs in the following areas:
