The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has an exciting fellowship
opportunity for a research industrial hygienist in the Miner Health Branch of the Spokane Mining Research Division. The industrial hygienist will join the multidisciplinary Exposure Monitoring and Control (EMC) Team.
We are seeking an engaged scientist to develop and test novel approaches to evaluating exposures and control strategies in the mining environment. Applicants must have:
• At least a master’s degree from a recognized college or university.
• Academic and/or work experience in exposure assessment and/or industrial
hygiene.
Appointees under this fellowship program are eligible for retirement, health benefits and life insurance programs, annual and sick leave, incentive awards, and training in accordance with OPM eligibility requirements. The position is located on-site in Spokane, Washington, with the opportunity for telework consistent with CDC/NIOSH policies.
