Description:

The University of Findlay is seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental Scientist, for a Full-Time, Tenure Track faculty position with an emphasis in Sustainability.  The position will be an integral part of the University’s nationally-recognized, EHAC accredited, Environmental, Safety, Occupational and Health Management Department, which offers a Bachelor of Science degree completion, and a Master’s degree program, both domestically and abroad.  This position will join a growing department of 6 Full-Time and 3 Part-Time faculty, who have a combined 250 years of industry and teaching experience.

 

Teaching expectations include undergraduate and graduate core and elective courses in the area of Risk Management, Environmental Policy, and 1 or more Safety/Industrial Hygiene related courses.  Professional experience in multiple areas of Environmental Engineering policy or EHS related to the teaching assignment, specialized credentials in Environmental Health Science, undergraduate and graduate level online teaching experience preferred.  A candidate who has a breath of knowledge in the field of Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability, will ensure our student and employer’s needs and interest are met, as the field is adapting to progressive laws and regulations.

Skills/Eligibility:

The ideal candidate must possess a Ph.D. degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Policy, Occupational Health, EHS, or a Master’s with credentials and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related discipline and professional experience.
