Looking for a place where you can excel by applying your deep knowledge of SharePoint technical administration and design? Join our solutions-oriented IT Program as a Regular, Full-time (1.0 FTE) IT Analyst II-SharePoint Administrator.

Some of what you’ll do:

  • Primary lead for administration, development and support for the Departments SharePoint site.
  • Provide recommendations for an architectural online SharePoint solution that maximize usability and enhances user effectiveness and business operations.
  • Develop and deploys SharePoint communications and collaboration technologies within Department.
  • Collaborate with cross divisional teams to review current systems, processes and services and recommend efficiencies and upgrades within SharePoint.
  • Consult with Records management personnel for proper naming, storage and retention of documents with the SharePoint site.
  • Serve as lead to Hub Club team (team evaluates SharePoint functionality, initiates suggestions on governance, and implements new functionality)
  • Responsible to document SharePoint configuration and architecture, maintain software, patches, releases notes, and other relevant information for SharePoint and related services/servers.
  • Research, design, create and guide/train staff at all experience levels on custom tools needed for day-to-day business.
  • Lead and assist in development of scope and schedule for SharePoint and Office 365 projects with cross divisional teams.
  • Manage oversight, communications, timelines and tasks for SharePoint, Office 365 and IT projects.
  • Develop, prioritize, implement and monitor program or project goals and objectives.
  • Assists on developing and managing contracts, scope of work, request for proposals and vendor selection.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve program or project goals and objectives.
  • Identify and manage project/program data needs and perform data analysis to develop recommendations for quality improvement and implementation efforts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and provide content for communications processes related to program or project work.
    Job Specific Technical Skills:
    • Skill with SharePoint design and development and builds for new applications or to modify existing programs to fit user needs.
    • Specialized skills with technology, such as hardware, software, system administration, database development and administration,  programming and system analysis and integration.
    • Working knowledge and ability to work with Windows and SQL server(s).
    • Perform structured systems analysis, design and development.
    • Maintain and use relational database management systems.
    • Design, query, and use industry current programming languages.
    • Test and debug systems and programs.
    • Data and system security, monitoring, back-ups, data recovery and related processes.
    • Ability to detect errors in logs.
    • Interacts with end users to analyze complex practices, operations and needs; develops appropriate system or solutions and provide ongoing support
    • Provide insight and recommendations for integration of information resources into the performance of other operations and strategic processes.

    Who should apply:

    Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; And two years of information systems experience; Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    Depending on the position, experience with accountability for managing or leading database work, network administration or programming/systems analysis may be desired.

    Desirable: Five or more years of SharePoint experience.

    Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.

    Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:

    Work Setting: Work is performed almost exclusively indoors in an office environment. Exposure to hazards is limited to those commonly found in government office environments.

    Tools and Equipment: Duties require the use of standard office furniture and equipment (e.g. desk, filing cabinet, computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, etc).    
    Physical Demands: Extensive amount of time is spent using a computer. Eye strain and occasional soreness of wrist and fingers may occur. Highly exacting work performing multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Dexterity enough to produce typed correspondence, to file and to operate standard office equipment.

    Travel: Driving a vehicle requiring a license.

    Some travel is required, and is typically local or regional, to meet with clients, conduct business, and attend or provide training.

    When public health responds to an emergency you may be assigned duties that are outside your regular job description. This may involve responding at any time, including nights and weekends, with possible deployment to locations other than the department.
