Position Summary:

This individual will exemplify strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to guide research teams. This individual will be responsible for the development and conduct of research studies in a multidisciplinary team.  The research studies vary from qualitative interview to longitudinal observational studies.  This individual will work together with the management team to provide expertise in research methods, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of results. 

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting research studies;
  • Managing multiple research studies simultaneously;
  • Developing study documents;
  • Managing IRB requirements;
  • Analyzing qualitative data;
  • Conducting literature reviews;
  • Writing research reports and manuscripts;
  • Ensuring that quality standards are met;
  • Maintaining the scientific integrity of the research;
  • Providing back-up for study coordinators as needed;
  • Setting up and managing trial master files

Experience and Skills requirements: 

  • Experience:
    • A graduate degree in public health or other related health science field and experience working for at least 2 years in public health preferred
    • Experience developing study materials for qualitative studies, monitoring data collection, analyzing qualitative data, and writing up reports of findings
    • Experience in conducting literature reviews
    • Experience working with IRBs
    • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Strong qualitative data analysis skills
    • Clear understanding of responsible conduct of research
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
