Job Duties

 

  • Collect paperwork and coordinate payment for community providers who are receiving honorariums.
  • Monitor orders and coordinate deliveries for Naloxone distribution with community partners.
  • Administrative support where needed:
    • Schedule meetings, taking notes, sending emails on behalf of team, etc.
  • Developing community alerts
  • Drafting guidance documents, Buprenorphine Telehealth, etc.
  • Monitoring for additional funding opportunities and coordinating submission of material
  • Statusing current Naloxone project with behavioral health agencies.
  • Support communications work
    • Including support ongoing overdose prevention and Fentanyl awareness campaign.
      • Develop and promote creative material development in consultation with team for
        • Social media
        • On-line
        • Other campaign development
      • Partner with community agencies and groups to distribute overdose prevention material.
  • Help partner with schools and develop youth overdose prevention material.
  • In conjunction with opioid team and grantee organization, develop targeted anti-stigma campaign.

 

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate the following (Minimum): 

  • Strong organizational skills:  This position requires strong organizational skills, including limited project management abilities and strong note taking and follow-up skills.
  • Communications:  This position will be supporting multiple communications campaigns.  The person will have experience in developing successful communications campaigns and that also involve social media and advertising of those campaigns.
  • Team Player: This position works within a team of multi-disciplinary professionals, including clinical, policy, communications, prevention and epidemiology.  The successful candidate will need to be able to operate within the team environment, and be comfortable working remotely due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.

Our Administrative Services Division is looking for someone to join the Department of Public Health as Opioid Grant Implementation Support (Project/Program Manager II). This Special Duty (SD) /Term Limited Temporary (TLT) position will work within a team to provide support to accomplish the deliverables of multiple grants related to opioid and substance use service expansion as well as prevention and providing support to the workgroup.  This position will help support administrative and communications work to accomplish the deliverables. The role is expected to end as of July 2021.
