Brown University School of Public Health is searching for a Professor (tenured) to lead the Department of Epidemiology as Chair. The position will be available January 1, 2021 although the start date is negotiable. Brown’s School of Public Health is a major and growing School within one of the nation’s leading universities. The Department includes 13 tenured or tenure-track faculty, 6 additional research and teaching faculty, and trains both masters and doctoral students in epidemiology.

Applications are encouraged from established scholars in epidemiology who wish to lead and grow a dynamic department of Epidemiology. The Chair would oversee the research and education within the department and would also be a key member of the School’s leadership team. Strengths of the department include a highly accomplished faculty, an excellent graduate program, and strong collaborative relationships across the School and the University, with opportunities to build on each of these features of the program. The Chair represents the Department in relationships with other academic units in the University and with outside programs.
