Description:

Partnerships for Native Health and the Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health have an opportunity for a Research Study Assistant on their Native-Controlling Hypertension and Risk through Technology (Native-CHART) center grant. This is a part-time position, 10-15 hours/week. This position is based in our Seattle office, although work is temporarily being performed remotely due to COVID-19.

Human Subjects Management and Research Coordination

Implements study protocols, materials, and procedures for a significant research project within the Partnerships for Native Health program at the Institute for Research and Education to Advance Community Health (IREACH), which utilizes regular communication with suicidal American Indians and Alaska Natives to increase social connection.

Executes all study procedures, including conducting assessments, participant study visits, designing and overseeing data collection, conducting analyses, and preparing reports for publication.

Data Management and Reporting

Gathers and inputs study data into database systems. Ensures accuracy in the recording of all data.

Creates and establishes a data filing system for all data collected. Utilizes database programs to manage and organize study data. Ensures that data have been entered correctly and work with sites to assure data integrity.

Reviews and assesses study data to ensure adherence to study protocol.

Ensures all data is secure and remains confidential, reports breaches immediately.

Budget/Fiscal Activities

Monitors supply inventory for each study periodically. Ensures study supplies are available, and replenishes supplies, as needed, coordinating with supervisor.

Assists in setting up service contracts with vendors, as needed.

Coordinates payments to participants and billing procedures related to study visits.

Assists with purchasing including purchase requests, ordering and reimbursements.

Assists with travel requests, arrangements, and travel reimbursement requests

Assists with coordination of payments to participants and billing procedures related to center grant including purchasing, tracking, distributing, and internal audits.

Program Assistance

Coordinates meeting plans, including communications and space planning

Assists with the coordination of the Center’s special projects and events

Assists with creation and dissemination of promotional materials, such as brochures and flyers

Coordinates Center webinar series in collaboration with Dissemination team

Provides logistical support to Center through meeting minutes, drafting agendas, scheduling meetings, and tracking Center projects

Support annual reporting process to Center funders
