The Department of Epidemiology at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine is seeking applications for a post-doctoral fellow position in genomic epidemiology research of cardiometabolic phenotypes.  Candidates with training and research experience in genomic epidemiology or statistical genomics are encouraged to apply. The post-doctoral fellow will have the opportunity to work on several large on-going genomic studies of cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease related traits at the Tulane University Health Sciences Center. We offer a supportive environment for post-doctoral associates to participate in these funded studies and develop manuscripts and grant proposals with study investigators.Qualifications for post-doctoral fellow candidates include a doctoral degree in genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, or bioinformatics, along with advanced training in genomic analyses. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in bioinformatics, using linux/Unix operating systems and high performance computer clusters, and managing large-scale genomics data.
