Description:
The Brent lab is seeking a work study student from the School of Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field to assist on a small-scall, randomized control trial testing use of Augmentd Reality to aid diagnostic testing for SARS-CoV-2.
Responsibilities
- Use epidemiological methods to help design and carry out a small-scale randomized control trial using a cross-over design
- Aid in study recruitment and participant scheduling
- Instruct and observe study participants during in-person data collection sessions
- Analyze study results using R, STATA, or some alternative data analysis system

Hours per week (approx.): 19
Compensation: Paid: Work-Study (State or Federal)
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled an undergraduate or master program at a four-year university and must be eligible for a work-study program
- Must have some data analysis experience (Excel, R, STATA, etc.)
- Proficiency in basic epidemiological methods
- Flexibility and able to work independently without supervision
Preferred qualifications:
- The ideal candidate would be pursuing a degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Biostatistics or a related field
- Possess some basic laboratory skills and knowledge
