Nature of Position and Organization: This position works with the School of Public Health and Nutritional Sciences Program on a graduate-student-led-project surveying farmers in Washington state to identify how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted their business. This study specifically analyzes these impacts through the scope of food system resilience and is a collaboration between the University of Washington, Washington State University, and the Washington State Department of Agriculture.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Input of survey information into REDCap software platform
- Programming survey information in both English and Spanish
- Maintain records and files of data input
- Perform variety of intermediate processing and data input using Word and Excel
- Other duties as assigned
Educational Benefits: Exposure to and experience with the REDCap platform frequently utilized for surveying large populations. This position provides a general understanding of data input as well as survey development, specifically geared towards the food system. Allows for growth and networking within the School of Public Health Nutritional Sciences Program and is ideal for a student who enjoys working in an online environment and/or wishes to gain work experience in higher education.
Skills/Eligibility:Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and Google products
- Willingness to learn (or previous experience with) the REDCap software platform
- Task oriented with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Spanish preferred
