The Department of Health Services has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Research Coordinator to work with the Health Promotion Research Center (HPRC), one of 26 Prevention Research Centers funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

This position will primarily support a new CDC grant to study patient navigation as a method to increase access to genetic counseling and testing for young-onset colorectal cancer patients (Special Interest Project 20-003). The Research Coordinator will be responsible for data collection (quantitative and qualitative), management, synthesis and reporting. They will also provide navigation implementation and evaluation assistance to project partners including partner health systems. Other responsibilities include coordinating communication within teams as well as across project partners; updating materials (intervention and measurement); and associated coordination tasks that arise during the project lifecycle. Overall, this position will have a significant contribution in designing and conducting research activities. The Research Coordinator position will also be involved in emergent research projects resulting from HPRC’s partnerships, particularly in the area of cancer prevention and control.
