      PHSS is seeking 2 additional 

Contact Tracers

       that will work to support our schools in Thurston County as they respond to COVID-19. 

Contact Tracers - Schools 

      will work in a team setting to investigate and follow-up reported contacts of COVID-19 cases in schools. This includes but is not limited to entering contact information into a database, providing guidance, education and follow-up to contacts, working with the case management staff to ensure contacts have necessary resources.

These positions will support Thurston County PHSS’s COVID-19 response working with our Investigation and Contact Tracing Team, leading the effort to investigate and track COVID-19 infections in our community. The ability to properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to maintain situational awareness will be crucial to the safety and success in these roles.

    • Contact Tracers are required to report to the Thurston County Public Health and Social Services office in Olympia for the first week of employment. After initial training, Case Investigators may have the opportunity to work remotely, but must be able to report in person within 45 minutes as necessary.

Skills/Eligibility:
QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Graduation from High School or GED, and
  • May require a current Washington State Driver’s License or have requested and obtained an appropriate accommodation
AND
  • Bachelor’s degree in closely aligned field; related experience may substitute for education.
