In addition, we offer a line of clean vitamins and natural remedies called Boosters

Since our launch, we’ve sold more than 10 million meals and amassed an incredible community through Is This Normal, a place for today’s parents to have real, unfiltered dialogue and get fact-based answers from experts and other parents who want to pay it forward.

Little Spoon is looking to hire an Operations Coordinator to help us manage our supply chain as we continue to grow our customer base and product lineup. The Operations Coordinator will support all aspects of Little Spoon’s supply chain, including:

PROCUREMENT

  • Assist our Product and Operations teams in finding and sourcing new ingredients and new suppliers 

  • Act as a liaison between Little Spoon and third-party suppliers to report deviation from agreed-upon specs or QA issues related to ingredients and components

  • Work with our QA, Product and our vendors to coordinate testing and qualification of samples

  • Place purchase orders, ensuring delivery occurs on schedule and that items are received on time in full and that POs are reconciled against receiving paperwork

  • Manage current pricing information, availability, and specifications across fresh, frozen, and dry ingredients

  • Work with Finance and Accounting to ensure the accuracy of all PO’s and invoices and maintain various tracking documents

  • Clearly communicate with suppliers so they are are up-to-date on projections and relevant business needs and ensuring that we stay one step ahead

PRODUCTION

  • Serve as a bridge between various internal and external stakeholders to ensure production schedules are up-to-date and that they are aligned to our anticipated demand

  • Ensure raw materials are delivered to our co-packers in a timely and cost-effective manner

  • Ensure co-packers are providing accurate and up-to-date production reports on a daily basis, working proactively to identify and resolve unexpected variances

  • Coordinate the allocation and distribution of finished goods to our fulfillment centers based upon inventory levels customer demand

WAREHOUSING AND FULFILLMENT

  • Make sure finished goods are received into inventory by our fulfillment centers in an accurate and timely manner

  • ​Organize the batching and shipping of customer orders using internal and external tools

  • Communicate cross-functionally with internal Little Spoon team members to ensure customer orders are delivered on time in full

  • Coordinate a wide range of Little Spoon e-commerce functions with our fulfillment centers

  • Liaise between our fulfillment centers and last-mile delivery providers to ensure orders are picked up on time

  • Coordinate efforts and flag when inventory levels are insufficient to cover demand 

  • Have a constant eye on inventory levels of finished goods and raw materials at multiple facilities across the country so we can keep our customers fed and happy

Skills/Eligibility:

Our ideal candidate will check most of these boxes:

  • 3+ years supply chain and/or food production experience, manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures

  • ​Knowledge of and interest in healthy food, nutrition, and helping parents and kids feel their best via what they eat 

  • Self-motivated, take initiative, and willing to get your hands dirty

  • Natural problem solver with a positive attitude and strong time management capabilities

  • ​Computer savvy; able to use Slack, Excel, Word and Google Docs
