The Self-Testing options in the Era of Primary HPV screening for cervical cancer (STEP) pragmatic randomized trial is evaluating the effectiveness of home-based HPV kits for improving cervical cancer screening uptake, cost-effectiveness, and patient experience at Kaiser Permanente Washington.

The home-based HPV kit materials used in the STEP trial are in English only. A potential supplemental project is to evaluate culturally-appropriate adaptation and translation of HPV materials into one or more non-English languages.
