The Port of Seattle is looking for 2 part-time Customer Research Field Workers

Some of what you’ll be doing: As a Customer Research Field Worker, you will collect data from airport passengers and other Port of Seattle customers by conducting short interviews, surveys, and observing and recording customer behavior to help improve the Port of Seattle’s efficiency and support informed planning and decision making.

• You will administer and request passengers and customers participate in surveys, conduct short interviews, and observe and record passenger behavior.

• You will collect, maintain, and organize administrative records of data for survey research projects.

• You will install, remove, and download data from electronic people counters.

 

Who you are: Two years of experience may be substituted for one year of education:

• Experienced – You have 2 years of data collection experience and can lift up to 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Educated – You possess an Associate Degree or two (2) years’ post-secondary education.

• Desired – We hope you have a Bachelor’s Degree and four (4) years’ experience in field work collecting data by administering surveys and conducting short interviews.

• Knowledgeable – You have an understanding and interest in customer researcher.

• Technically Skilled – You have technical skills in Microsoft Office and computer operations.

• Effective Communicator – You have excellent social, written, verbal, and active listening skills and you can maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters.

• Work Schedule – Flexible schedule. You may be required to work weekends and holidays.

• Work Environment – You will generally work indoors.

• Overtime Eligible – You are eligible for overtime pay in this role.

• Safety Requirements – You will be required to comply with all work rules, safety, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

• Security Requirements – As the successful candidate, you must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Your employment will be contingent upon obtaining a Port of Seattle ID badge upon clearance.
