Students for HFA is a youth program that seeks to empower and educate young anti-hunger champions. Students are encouraged to participate in service projects and/or take leadership roles as Student Ambassadors to mobilize their peers in action through volunteerism, civic engagement, fundraising, advocacy and dialogue on food insecurity with the ultimate goal of helping to reduce hunger in their school and community by increasing awareness and participation in school meals, SNAP, and other food assistance programs.

 

The Student Ambassadors are student leaders who are dedicated to anti-hunger work. Student Ambassadors facilitate the partnership between Hunger Free America and a school administrator to establish a Students for HFA Chapter at their school, help to organize service projects (virtual and/or in-person), and encourage classmates to participate.

• A meaningful service opportunity and nonprofit experience students can highlight on applications for schools, service programs, or employment.
• Access to HFA’s Learning Sessions on anti-hunger and nonprofit work for students to expand their knowledge and skills. 
• The opportunity to help decrease hunger in your community and on a national scale.
