Position Summary

Rainier Beach Action Coalition seeks a Food Justice Program Coordinator to support programs, personnel, and business administration under the leadership of the Food Innovation Strategist. The position will assist with leadership, training, policy and procedure coordination, plus effective communication across the organization. This position is an ideal fit for someone who values business management and can follow-up on tasks with great care.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented in maintaining complete and accurate program operations that inspire confidence in our work where adequate skill, ability and experience are proven. The Program  Coordinator will work closely with other core functionalities of the Management team, including other Coordinators.

TECHNICAL ACUMEN

  • Benefit and payroll tracking system knowledge for example ADP or Gusto
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Advanced knowledge reporting to funders through narrative and invoices
  • Experience of program deliverables assessment and grant evaluation

Preferred Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in business administration, program supervision or youth development
  • 3-5 years coordination experience or supporting multiple program teams
  • 3 years grant reporting experience or education with expense allocation and time tracking
  • Excellent customer service skills where both internal and external stakeholder service is recognized
  • Passion for nonprofit sector work, learning and growing with the an organization for the benefit of Black and Indigenous people of color
  • Cultural competency experience and demonstrated ability to work with people of diverse races, ages, abilities and economic backgrounds
