Description:

The NPGH LEADERs Fellowship Program is a 12-month clinical research training
program for US & LMIC post-doctorate trainees and US doctoral students in the
health professions, sponsored by the NIH Fogarty International Center.

OVERVIEW:

US trainees spend 12 months at their research
sites.


LMIC trainees will spend 2 to 3 months of their
fellowship at one of the US consortium
universities and the remaining months at their
research site


Trainees work closely with mentors
domestically and abroad.


Trainees receive a monthly stipend and a
modest research budget.


Trainees receive travel costs to and from their
international site.

Additional Details:

Skills/Eligibility:

Must be a citizen or permanent resident of:
the United States, Cameroon, Ghana, India,
Kenya, Liberia, Nepal, Peru, Thailand, Uganda.

Must conduct research at an approved site
in country (list available on our website).

US applicants must currently be enrolled in a
doctoral/advanced degree program or have
completed one in the last 5 years.

LMIC applicants must have completed a
doctoral or advanced professional degree in
the last 5 years.
