This is a term-limited position funded with a federal grant from Health and Human Services. The grant is expected to end June 30, 2023.

Under direction of the Prevention Services Director or designee, the incumbent will define health equity issues around COVID-19 Health Literacy, conduct research, identify gaps and stakeholders, clarify interests and potential impacts, devise alternative solutions, present recommendations, and develop strategies. Collaborate with the grant partners and community groups regarding health equity work being done under the COVID-19 Health Literacy grant.

Education and Experience Required:

Education:        Bachelor’s degree from accredited college in public health, health education, social sciences, communications or related field; and 

Experience:      Four (4) years of experience of professional public outreach experience, including experience working with diverse communities. Including one (1) or more years of experience in project management. 

Or:                In place of the above requirement, the incumbent may possess any combination of relevant education and experience which would demonstrate the individual’s knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above.

Licenses, Certifications and Other:

• Master’s degree in public health, health equity or related field, preferred.
• Fluency in a foreign language/culture, preferred. 
• Valid Washington State Driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire and a driving record which meets the requirements of Snohomish Health District’s insurance carrier.
