Skills/Eligibility:

Anyone interested in obesity/nutrition/metabolism animal research is welcome to apply. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door in biomedical research. We need someone who is available most weeks starting May until December to come in once/twice a week.

We expect for the student volunteer to be self-sufficient and reliable in taking the necessary training courses and performing required tasks.

We take our responsibility for the ethical treatment of animals in medical research very seriously and we expect student volunteers to do the same.

How to Apply:

Please email Ana Valencia at apv4@uw.edu and provide the following information. Please title your email (RE: STUDENT VOLUNTEER)

Introduce yourself

Would you be available most weeks between May-December to come in once/twice a week?

Do you have experience with mouse handling (it is okay if you don’t)?

What year are you in?
