Description:
Basilica Bio is an education minded, community oriented nonprofit at the intersection of biology and social justice. Their modular educational materials support teachers in Washington in incorporating themes of environmental justice into their own curricula and their open community educational events offer an opportunity to get involved with changing the landscape of Seattle at various urban farms. Basilica aims to promote local food systems, push toward de-pollution, and to improve overall community health. In doing so, Basilica Bio works to make the world a more forward-thinking and equitable place.
As an Education Lead for Basilica Bio, you will identify and research topics relating to the core principles of Basilica, create materials that are concise and accessible, and educate about topics with community members over social media, through classroom curricula, and at in-person events. Education Leads also consider how to create an engaging and dynamic educational experience.
This is a Paid Position.
