Basilica Bio is an education minded, community oriented nonprofit at the intersection of biology and social justice. Our modular educational materials support teachers in Washington in incorporating themes of environmental justice into their own curricula and their open community educational events offer an opportunity to get involved with changing the landscape of Seattle at various urban farms. Basilica aims to promote local food systems, push toward de-pollution, and to improve overall community health. In doing so, Basilica Bio works to make the world a more forward-thinking and equitable place.

As a Farm Intern for Basilica Bio, you will help to maintain the various garden sites which Basilica Bio is associated with and help to lead workshops and event demonstrations. You will also use knowledge of soils, crops, food systems, and environmental hazards to help create educational material and aid with social media postings.

This is a Paid Position.
