Dates of Employment:      Summer quarter (with opportunities to continue into 2022-2023 academic year)

Supervisor:          Elizabeth Spalt

Hours:   up to 40 hours per week (if continuing past summer, up to 19.5 per week)

General Duties/Description:

Come help us assess neighborhoods from Street View! As part of the SOLAir study of air pollution, neighborhood conditions, and health among Hispanic/Latinx populations, we are planning to audit Street View images in San Diego, Chicago, Miami, and New York to assess neighborhood conditions including deteriorating infrastructure, linguistic context, and pedestrian amenities.  We need people who can navigate Street View and record what they see (e.g., sidewalk presence, language on signs, building conditions) for data analysis.  Working hours are flexible, work can be done remotely, and candidates should be detail-oriented.

 Required Skills/Experience:

  • Prior experience with data
  • Detail-oriented, organized and self-motivated.

 Desired Skills/Experience:

  • An interest in urban design

 Hourly Pay Rate:

$18/hour
