This position will support Public Health-Seattle and King County’s Emergency Preparedness Team and emergency response capabilities by coordinating a cadre of more than 1,000 volunteers, supporting community public health and emergency preparedness, response, and resiliency efforts, coordinating activities of emergency response teams, representing Public Health Preparedness in regional coalitions, and serving in Public Health’s emergency operations center during exercises and emergency responses. The goal of these activities are to boost community resilience, identify and eliminate system gaps, and eliminate disparate impacts of disasters on King County residents. Interviews are expected to be held between June and July on a rolling basis until position is filled, with an anticipated start date of October 3rd.
