Description:

Position Summary: The School of Public Health has two TA opportunities available to support faculty with technical assistance and instructional design as needed during the 2022-2023 academic year.

Specific Job Functions:
• Support faculty 1:1 in preparing course content across departments and programs within SPH
• Provide input on instructional design, specifically when offering online learning options for students
• Meet with faculty to troubleshoot operating classroom equipment and software (for example, wireless microphone, digital camera, Panopto, AV bridge)
• Assist faculty with recording/storing/sharing lectures and Zoom/Panopto general usage
• Support enhancing classroom learning (e.g. use of PollEverywhere, making Panopto accessible, creating breakout rooms, etc.)
• Help faculty with optimizing Canvas pages and Canvas management
• Provide training opportunities for TAs and students on tech aspects of online learning platforms
• Work with the SPH Curriculum and Education Operations Specialist on quarterly syllabus harvests and audits
• Assist with preparing for and attend Share and Learn pedagogical training sessions for SPH new instructors
• Other support as needed for SPH education/curricular activities

Required Qualifications: Minimum standing of current graduate student in the School of Public Health. Must be enrolled full-time/10 credits during fall, winter, and spring.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Canvas, Zoom, and Panopto; prior teaching assistant or course development experience; technical savviness and troubleshooting experience, excellent interpersonal skills.
