Description:

The Department of Health Systems and Population Health requires a full-time Recruitment and Marketing Specialist to work with Health Management and Informatics (HMI) to plan, write and edit communications, marketing, and promotional materials in support of student recruitment, admissions and alumni relations. This position develops the annual student recruitment and marketing plans for three graduate programs and advises on such activities for the undergraduate HIHIM program.

The position tracks interest and corresponds/meets with prospective applicants and partners with the program directors and UW Continuum College (UWC2) as well as with UW School of Public Health Communications and Advancement. Success in this position requires being an independent driver of ideas, creative thought partner, and relationship-builder, who can take the initiative in recruitment and marketing efforts for these degree programs, collaborating with program directors and other staff and with UWC2 to meet strategic goals. This position will work towards diversity, equity and inclusion goals within and for these programs and will be expected to know and contribute to the strategic goals of the HMI programs, the Department and the School of Public Health. The Recruitment & Marketing Specialist will report to the Sr. Associate Director for Operations and work as part of a team to support the Health Management and Informatics degree programs, e.g., Master of Health Administration (MHA), the Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA) and the Master of Health Informatics and Health Information Management (MHIHIM) and the Health Informatics and Health Information Management bachelor’s (HIHIM) degree programs.
