Description:

The Global Center for Integrated Health of Women, Adolescents, and Children (Global WACh) at the UW Department of Global Health has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Data Manager & Analyst. The position will support multiple studies within the Gut Health and Child Survival portfolio.

Specifically, this position will 1) support implementation of data collection activities and 2) support trial data management processes, including data cleaning, quality control, reporting and analysis, and assembly and organization of datasets for implementation and analysis.

Skills/Eligibility:

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or relevant field with at least two years of experience in data management or analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong programming skills in R programming

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree (MS or MPH) in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or relevant field
• Experience building and managing electronic databases and mobile data collection systems in resource-limited settings such as REDCap, OpenDataKit and SurveyCTO
• Demonstrated experience in assembly, quality assurance, and management of large, complex datasets
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality in the research process
• Good organizational skills, including effective time management, with proven ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced research environment and collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary scientific team
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Proficiency in other programming languages, e.g. Stata
• Experience with data quality assurance and quality control activities
• Experience with clinical trials and/or longitudinal biomedical data
• Proficiency in French or Spanish desired
