SEL is looking for an Environmental Health and Safety professional to assist in the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of SEL’s environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs that encourage a safe and healthy work environment and comply with federal, state, and local regulations; research regulations as needed. We are considering candidates at various experience levels. In this position, you will be able to own programs that ensure safety and environmental compliance and respond to job-related customer inquiries, questionnaires, surveys, requirements, issues, and any environmental incidents.

As an EH&S Professional, a typical day might include the following: 

• Counsel all levels of management and employee owners on safety management programs and practices and balance the needs of various stakeholders to understand problems and needs; participate in cross-functional teams to create solutions within areas of expertise.

• Respond to job-related customer inquiries, questionnaires, surveys, requirements, issues, and any environmental incidents.

• Participate in internal audits and compliance inspections and identifies actions necessary to meet regulatory and ISO 14001 and 45001 standard requirements.

• Perform EH&S review/approval as part of the Management of Change (MOC) process.

• Participate in equipment safety design by working closely with more senior EH&S personnel and other engineering groups within the company.

This job might be for you if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent experience

• 3+ years of EH&S related experience

• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.

Pay Range Data

New hires generally start between $69,100 - 108,100 per year. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills. Our ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location.
