Experiential Learning Assistant - The School of Public Health (SSS)
Description:
Program Administration (40%)
- Support data entry and ensure daily uploads to the Practicum Dropbox are ready for review.
- Provide status updates on project progress, workload, and upcoming deadlines for programs and departments.
- Answer general email inquiries from students, faculty, and staff to the School’s practice email account (sphpractice@uw.edu).
Research and Communications (35%)
- Support the maintenance and development of the Practicum and Practice website.
- Support the preparation of the Practicum orientations.
- Edit all communications materials to ensure they meet SPH branding and template guidelines.
- Cross-compare and analyze the similarities and differences between and/or within SPH policies versus other leading schools in the US.
- Conduct Google searches to double-check the validity of student-entered agency and site information in order to update the dropbox accurately.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Experiential Learning.
Event Support (25%)
- Help draft emails for invitations including the pre-registration links, RSVP form, and past MPH Symposium booklets for reference.
- Update and edit a landing page for presenters with all necessary requirements and steps before the Symposium event.
- Keep track of Symposium RSVP responses in an excel spreadsheet and enter in any missing data or project information.
- Collect and revise student bios from presenters as needed.
- Experience working directly with data and program administration
- Experience working with students and professionals
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Access, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, Word)
- Able to follow through on projects and be attentive to detail
