Description:
The RA will collaborate with the HPRC Cancer team to support implementation and evaluation activities within its cancer prevention and control portfolio of projects. This includes evaluation of Washington State’s Breast, Cervical, and Colon Health Program and WA CARES/Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, as well as emerging implementation science projects to accelerate the adoption of evidence-based interventions. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in various partnerships, which include public health (Washington State Department of Health), multiple health systems across Washington State, and other stakeholders to improve cancer screening efforts throughout WA State. The RA will assist the project team and program partners with gathering and interpreting evaluation data (both process and impact), and/or helping to develop/compile resources to support partners’ implementation of evidence-based interventions to improve cancer screening rates among their target populations.
This position involves working with community partners and health systems, and supporting cancer prevention programs in various settings including community health centers, state agencies, community-based organizations, and other health care settings (e.g. pediatric settings). It may also include supporting worksite health promotion efforts with state-wide reach. This position may be available as a salaried Research Assistant appointment in fall 2023.
