This is a full-time, permanent Management Analyst 5 (MA5) position located within the Division of Health Systems Quality Assurance, in the Office of Community Health Systems.

 

The Department of Health works to protect and improve the health of people in Washington State. As an Enforcement and Quality Assurance Coordinator (MA5), you’ll work under the administrative direction of the Deputy Executive Director of the Facilities Program supporting this Community Health Systems mission by providing expert level analysis of highly complex, multidimensional regulatory issues and options, and quality improvement strategies that impact the department, other state agencies, and licensed healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing expert-level analysis of healthcare facility compliance and enforcement activities, and quality assurance needs and implementation.   Coordinating, supporting, and advising on matters related to healthcare facilities compliance and enforcement activities, and quality assurance efforts.
  • Serving as an analyst and advisor on policy and legislative development and implementation related to facilities licensing compliance and enforcement.
  • Serving as a liaison and expert advisor to Health Systems Quality Assurance Professions and Facilities Program Managers, healthcare facilities, and other interested parties.

The Office of Community Health Systems (CHS) strives to maintain and strengthen the health systems people in Washington rely on for safe and accessible care. Research and analysis guide improvements and identify emerging issues, while engaged partners, stakeholders and community members help shape our strategies. Funding for this office comes from application fees, state funds, and grant funding. 

The incumbent may be located anywhere within the State of Washington. Telework (mobile-work) is expected. When approved, the incumbent will work with their supervisor to identify an appropriate work schedule and balance, including telework and reporting to the Tumwater duty station for work activities.  It is anticipated that the incumbent would be expected to report to the Tumwater duty station for work activities 2-4 times per year. This would need to be a conversation between the hiring supervisor and the incumbent.
