Summer Associate - PATH

LOCATION: Seattle, WA

CLOSING DATE: open until filled

OPPORTUNITY TYPE: Job

JOB #: 20436

POSTED: April 15, 2024

Description:

PATH is a global nonprofit dedicated to achieving health equity. With more than 40 years of experience forging multisector partnerships and with expertise in science, economics, technology, advocacy, and dozens of other specialties, PATH develops and scales up innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing heath challenges.

PATH’s Market Dynamics program is currently recruiting for a Summer Associate who is seeking to grow their career while making a difference in people’s lives. Our work is focused on identifying failures in global health markets and overcoming them through evidence-based interventions to increase equitable access to health products and services.

The Summer Associate will contribute to refining knowledge management systems for program strategy and business development. This will include critical research and analyses to improve segmentation of our growing portfolio of work, and conduct desk research to landscape, profile, and catalog current and emerging opportunities to address market-related failures in health equity that restrict access to life-saving products and interventions. This is a temporary position due to begin June 3, 2024 and end August 16, 2024.

Key activities for the Summer Associate role may include:

  • Data collection, modelling, and analyses: Create databases on existing and emerging projects within the Market Dynamics portfolio to inform segmentation and support processes to iteratively refine domain-specific strategies for business development
  • Conducting market research: Exploratory desk research to contextualize PATH’s strategic positioning and capabilities in priority portfolio segments
  • Communication of analysis outputs: Synthesize information to refine pitch materials, funders/partners lists, and targeted briefings
  • Process improvements and documentation: Contribute to development and adoption of routine team processes to improve collection, management, and visibility of business intelligence relevant to business development
