Description:

Not ready for grad school or unsure what health profession you want to pursue?

Spend a year as a Jesuit Volunteer in a Public Health AmeriCorps position. Be immersed in local communities alongside professionals who can help you to see what your future could be like.

From clinics to food banks, youth centers to mental health agencies, you will find a setting where you can turn your education into action and contribute to the common good. Build relationships and learn how health and wellbeing impacts not just an individual but a whole community. Learn how structures impact individual health, and build your own skills and experiences so that you can help our communities grow healthier in the future.

We offer placements at 14 locales across Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. Opportunities are available to serve in cross-cultural communities alongside Native American, Alaskan Native, Latinx, immigrant, and refugee populations.

Jesuit Volunteers (JVs) live in community and engage in reflection throughout the year, so that their service ignites a life of purpose that serves the common good.
