The Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Coordinate and conduct EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, incidents, and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.
- Promote a safety culture by encouraging employee participation in safety initiatives and reporting concerns.
- Other duties as assigned and deemed necessary for the role.
Skills/Eligibility:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an EHS coordinator role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of OSHA workplace safety requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Certification in EHS (e.g., CSP, CIH, or similar) is a plus.
