We are currently seeking to add an Environmental Staff Professional to our dynamic team in Seattle, Washington.

This position will work on a variety of technical projects and environmental programs for clients in our public, private, and industrial sectors. This role supports PBS’s multi-disciplinary environmental compliance, due diligence and remediation services that require working knowledge of state and federal regulations. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES

  • Perform fieldwork such as groundwater monitoring, stormwater inspections and collection of environmental samples (air, groundwater, soil, stormwater) for on-site environmental investigation and compliance support
  • Prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments per ASTM Designation E1527
  • Conduct subsurface environmental site investigations
  • Field oversight of construction and/or remedial action projects related to cleanup actions, underground storage tanks, waste management, site development, or environmental systems
  • Travel to project sites within the Puget Sound area and Washington is required
  • Represent PBS in a safe and professional manner both internally and externally
  • Preparation of reports and presentations

Skills/Eligibility:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or environmental engineering and related environmental field experience
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant environmental experience
  • Good critical thinking, data evaluation, and organizational skills
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude, motivated to deliver outstanding client service
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments while maintaining clear communication with clients and colleagues
  • Valid driver’s license required

Desirable Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Phase I ESA reports and groundwater sampling procedures
  • Technical writing experience
  • Data compilation/interpretation; management and reporting of field data
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER and current 8-hour refresher
